A workshop on preparation of Profit & Loss account for the Managers and Accountants of all branches was conducted at the Administrative office on 24th May, 2025.

Mr Visweshwariah, Ex Dy General Manager of SBI and advisor of the Bank conducted the workshop in 3 sessions. 

aaThe General Manager, Mr Sunil Menezes, in his introductory address, welcomed the participants and explained the purpose of the workshop which is to enhance the skills of the participants. He called upon the participants to take active participation in the workshop which will help them to lead their respective branches towards achieving the targets for FY 2025-26.

Mr Visweshwariah, while addressing the participants, explained in detail the essential factors in Banking and calculation methodology for preparing P & L Account which included: (1) Analysis of P & L Account for the period ended 31.03.2025 (2) Calculation of Interest Payable on Deposits for 2025-26 (3) Calculation of Interest Receivable on Loans & Advances for 2025-26 (4) Calculation of HO Interest Receivable & Payable for 2025-26 and (5) Projected P & L for 2025-26. He shared his expertise in preparing the Profit & Loss Account for the branches. He suggested that the exercise of preparing financial statements would increase the responsibility of the Managers & Accountants and would help them to achieve their goal.

The participants prepared the projections for Profit & Loss of their branches for the year 2025-26. 

The P & L Accounts prepared by the participants were reviewed and the shortcomings were noted and reviewed for betterment in the future.

52 participants from 19 branches actively participated in the workshop and opined that the workshop would be useful for them in the future endeavors in their respective branches. Dy General Manager Mr Raj F. Menezes and Senior Manager Mr Deril Lasrado were also present.
