MCC Bank and its staff members organised a condolence meeting on 10th April 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Meeting Hall of the Bank’s Head Office in Mangalore in memory of late staff member Mr Preevan J. D’Silva, who passed away on 09th April 2026.

In his opening remarks, Mr Alwin D’Souza, Accountant in IT Department stated, “We are gathered here to pay our heartfelt respects to Mr Preevan J. D’Silva, who was a dedicated and committed employee of MCC Bank.” Mr Mr Preevan was a devotee of the Infant Jesus Shrine and regularly attended Novena prayers. It is poignant to note that he passed away on a Thursday, a day of Novena, reflecting his deep faith and devotion to God.

Later, the General Manager, Mr Sunil Menezes, delivered a condolence tribute. In his message, he mentioned that Mr Preevan J. D’Silva was a sincere and loyal employee of the Bank. He served the institution for daily wage employee for 5 years and for 14 years as a permanent staff member.

He further expressed that Mr Preevan was very close to his heart and was a trustworthy individual in every respect. He was highly dedicated to his work and deeply committed to the Bank. Despite being unwell for the past one year, he remained eager to return to duty and would frequently contact and seek permission to rejoin services.

Considering his request, he was permitted to resume duties at Morgan’s Gate Branch. However, within two months, his health condition deteriorated, and he was unable to continue. He had been on leave for the past month and was undergoing care at the Ave Maria Palliative Care Centre in Vamanjoor. The Chairman and General Manager had visited him during his illness.

Mr Sunil Menezes also shared that even during his illness, Mr Preevan remained connected with the Bank. He would request updates, programme details, and photographs, which he would regularly post on his status. Till his last days, he remained cheerful and never expressed grief about his condition. Even during their last conversation on Sunday, Mr Preevan spoke with confidence and motivated others, displaying remarkable courage despite his illness. He also emphasized the quiet yet meaningful contribution he made to the smooth functioning of various branches during his long tenure, leaving behind a legacy of respect and goodwill among colleagues. He fought bravely until the very end, showing a strength of spirit that is rare and inspiring.
